Not too worried about the nuts and bolts figured they aren't the original. Really want to get any idea on how much the stay is out of wack. Where the screen bolts should be sitting relative to the stay.
That way I can figure what needs bending. I thing this pic should the problem better.

it looks you've got a M6 (10mm spanner size) steel nut and bolt - they should be plastic M5 or 8mm spanner. You see the nut's rusted, it's because water gets onto the bolts travels down onto the nut, they can be a bastard to get off too. You can replace them with aftermarket alloy and well nuts (you get them in Halfords) or look for a pack of the plastic ones.
The sppedo cable can be a bit tricky, it's an aftermarket generic type. Take the top fairing off and use a couple of bolts to tag the clocks into place then see if you can get the cable to route differently - I can't remember if I found a way or not. If that's the only way it works then wrap the frame and cable with some foam rubber[/quote]
