r1 body kit, how to remove fairings?
Just bought this bike and need to perform some maintenance, what's the best way to pull the lower fairing without killing it?

Do you have the R1 airtech kit? The kits come without holes drilled so I am not sure how many screws you'd have holding it on. Best bet would be to get something soft under the bike so when it drops off it wont scrape. Or prop it up with a shoebox or something as you undo the screws. Or get a friend to hold it up as you unscrew it

Well the lower is one piece, I'm not sure if I can kind of roll it out from under the bike or what.

Once it drops out, you can kind of rotate it out on the drivers right side of the bike

Ok that's kinda what I figured. I think I have some carpet remnants hanging around to put under it. Thanks guys.
