Guess I'll find out next week if he owns up (if he had made a mistake)...
I guess the bike would still start ok even if jets are mixed up?

A picture paints a thousand words :cheers: however were it says "Pilot Air Jet" is incorrect that is the pilot jet, The Pilot Air Jet is in the throat of the carb

As Don stated the main and starter jets DO Have the same threads and CAN be installed in the wrong position

can the head be taking off the bike with bottom still on bike or will i have to take full engine out? cheers

You CAN; it's easier if you tip the engine forward, and at that point you may as well just pull the damn thing...

am i right in thinking the fzrs have removable bottom frame rails so engine will drop straight through?

well bikes all fixed, the guy put the starter jets wrong way round with the main jets, runs sweet again :D
