Cool. meausre twice cut once. I cut .375 off of each end. Make sure you use a machinist ruler in the 100th scale to accurantely make tyour marks.

Well, i went to etch the lines today, and the clamps worked perfect...here are some pictures of the clamps and then the lines without the clamps, look pretty strait! I measured with a micrometer to .375 or 3/8" on each side. From line to line, 8.5"----MONEY! Then i thought...well, i can get out the cutting wheel and cut around this circle....... OR i can go back to my old shop and have a buddy (that is very good on the band saw) buzz these ends off in .2 seconds. So i called him up and he said the boss is out tomorrow so he can do it at lunch AND he's gonna sandblast it for me! YEEEYAAA!

I'm doing the same conversion and I'm just wondering;

Are the rear sprockets of all YZF 600 94-02 the same?
Wich year 636 front sprocket fits?
And where to buy cheapest?

EVERYTHING you need to know is in these three links, I read and re-read each of them MANY times, and feel like i'm a pro now.

to more directly answer your question, i believe the years are 95-07 for the yzf swing.
03-06 zx6r 636 front sprocket, http://www.denniskirk.com cheapest
also, you need to get a 520 chain and change the YZF stock 530 sprocket to a 520 sprocket
:yutugh2:
have fun!

1. Yes......You can use a FZR 520 sprocket if your currently have one but just open up the bolt holes a bit.

2. JT1307 is the one you want. ( 14 or 15 tooth your preference )

3. Ebay has them for about 22 shipped. Years and models are in the pics below. 1st link below is for the 14 tooth ( one I got ) the second is for the 15 tooth. I beleive they have a 13 tooth also.

3. Ebay has them for about 22-23 shipped. Dennis Kirk has them for about 28-29 shipped. Ebay makes more sense. Years and models are in the pics below. 1st link below is for the 14 tooth ( one I got ) the second is for the 15 tooth. I beleive they have a 13 tooth also.

YZF600 or R6?....i guess it doesn't really matter, either would be an ok deal i think.
on ebay you can get a R6 or Y600 for $50-$100 shipped, some with extra parts, so i would check that out.

This auction is for an OEM rear wheel swingarm for the 2003 - 2005 Yamaha YZF600R6. This is the OEM unit and it should fit the R6 of any year,
