Yes ,I cut the tabs off one side of the mounts on either end of the brake arm and mounted the arm on one side of the swingarm tabs. Make sense?
What did you use for a rear rotor? I have a 97 bandit wheel (17x4.5 and same bolt pattern for the rotor). I bought a used GSXR 750 rear rotor with the proper bolt pattern, but it looks like the diameter is smaller than the stock FZR rotor. It also looks like the FZR600 rear rotor can't be made to fit.
Also, what gearing did you go with?

Depending on the year of GSXR they either used a 220mm rear disc or a 240mm rear disc. I used the 240mm. It is almost the same diameter as the fzr rear disc. The rear pads need to have some material removed as the GSXR 240mm rear disc is slightly smaller. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188067
I eBay'ed mine... from the looks of it a late 80's GSXR 750 or a 96-99 Bandit 600 both have 17x4.5 rear rim that match our bike pretty closely. I'm working with a 97 bandit 600 rim personally.

First one- Definitely not. Nobody has managed to fit anything wider than a 160 into a stock swinger to my knowledge, and that looks like an "8" on the far left.
2nd and 3rd - Probably so. I can tell you that (according to my research so far) the brake rotors, sprocket carriers, and sprockets will interchange between all years of the Katana 600 and 750, Bandit 600, 88 GSXR 1100, and 89 GSXR 750. They probably have the same rim width as well. I'll try to post the complete interchange list I have assembled so far tonight or tomorrow night.

That would defeat the purpose of this Mod. Plus that makes the wheel base longer and the point of the mod is to keep as much of the original length and handling of the FZR intact along with opening the choices available for tires.
