yzf 600 swingarm...spools? and recommend me bike stands

Post by haunter »

I dont have mine in front of me here at work, obviously

is it set up for spools?

guess I could get it setup for spools......

I need a set of stands, front triple tree and rear stand

the SV has spools on the swingarm.......

I'm not super worried about it working with the SV yet, I can order a pin for it later when I need one, and can take the upper off to ensure fitment without breaking plastics

I have a set of these and have used them for five years for everything from HD sportsters and softails to an '05GSXR1000;

You can specify spool or pad, or get both for a little more$.

And the 'tree stand:

I also have an air lift table from them, and the stands are stable enough to put under the bikes on the table.

thanks razor!

they look not too bad, I might get the LP front from kneedraggers(its cheaper than the handy) and get the handy SET, as their set of fork/swingarm is cheaper than the vortex I found.

its cheaper overall to do it that way AND get an extra front fork stand.

i think you'll be happy.

Yeah, back when I bought mine, Handy had a three pack special-was like $169 or something fro treestand, fork stand and swinger stand. Ive only had one bike that gave me any issues with the rear stand (excluding single sided swingarms and *some* shafties) and that was a Yamaha Warrior...the rear end was too wide, so I stood on one side of the rear stand and stretched it open a bit more.

* i did make a custom dropped pad that allows me to have the rear stand unequal height (side to side) and lift on the shaft drive on one side and arm on the other.

H,
I bought my triple tree stand from a local bike shop & am in the process off making the pin & stop longer to clear the fairing of my 600, the rear end paddock stand I made out of s/steel tube scrap and it fits all my RD's & my 600.

see:- http://www.saltmine.org.uk/fzr/paddockstand.html

Just finished welding the jack bobbin holders on the 3HE swing arm while it is off and being cleaned up for storage, my 3TJ was already fitted and i fitted fixings for bobbns on the two 1WG's arms i have.

UK guys one of the 1WG's will be up for sale soon as will the 3EN ( the braced 400 arm with custom stainless steel chain guard )

see:- http://www.saltmine.org.uk/fzr/swingarm.html

As a side note I am busy writing up the 3TJ swing arm swap to take 3HE wheel OR the 3TJ wheel with 1WG sprocket holder. watch out for the announcement :whistle
