my bike is thrashed looking at options.

Post by Internetaardvark »

Have some questions. So I currently have a 94 fzr 600 and would be fine riding that but as some of you may remember i went down pretty good a little while back and in addition to taking off my front fairing, guages headlight etc, I noticed the other day that the tail is tweaked... like about 1-2 inches. So im starting to think its time to retire this one lol. Unfortunately i don't have alot of money right now I really don't wanna spend it on a new bike was planning on waiting and saving up till the end of next season. Can i tweak the tail back in? Or at this point as something i'm sitting on going 70 plus is it just plain not safe? there are a couple of bikes on ebay and i was looking at a yzf 600. How do they compare to the fzr? I know there heavier and faster but do they handle as well? Better? Any one thats ridden both i'd appreciate your imput.
Thanks, guys.

if only the tail is tweaked why don't you just weld on a subframe from another bike and use some other tail ? it's cheaper than a new bike .

I think the yzf600r is a heavy bike, more weight and only a little more power.

re-bend the subframe as straight as you can get it by wedging a long 2x4 in there and use it as a lever-arm. If it will fit. If it's far enough off affect the way you're sitting in the seat or look really bad you may be S.O.L.
