my valve cover gasket is cracked and leaking oil :headbang:

how bad is it gonna suck to replace it? kinda looks like a PITA but IDK

shouldn't be too bad. Take off your fairings, unbolt the radiator and you should be able to get to it.

:stupid its not that hard, trust me. after ripping through the rest of the engine, its a walk in the park. the valve cover gasket is hopefully one of the last parts i need to get the bike back up and running. just ordered it from bike bandit, i think it was $33.

nice. i have had this damn oil leak for a while and i thought it was my oil pan gasket because the front of it always had a little oil on it. little did i know it was leaking from the valve cover gasket, running down the engine and collecting on the oil pan. $33 aint that bad. i just bought a new oil pan and gasket too from v8killaz. guess i better change out as much as i can while the bike is torn apart.

:offtopic: but are copper or aluminum exhaust gaskets better?
