i'm not sure where to put this so here goes.
my chest size is exactly 40"
the chart size says 40" chest = size 40
42 chest = size 42 jacket
and 44 chest = size 44 jacket.
would a size 44 jacket be too big?

Re: jacket size
I would think yes, it probably would be. I like tight jackets for motorcycle use.
Is there anyway to try it on at a local store?

Can you go to a local store and try on jackets there? just so you know what size you are....
I also think that it's better to have a jackets that's more on the snug side than loose. That way if (hopefully you don't) you go down, the pads and armor stay where they're supposed to and protect you the way they are intended to do so.

Re: jacket size
You've got to go try one on. I'm not a "big" person, but because I have broad shoulders and long arms I take between a 48 and 50 for a jacket. My chest is no were near that size but if I were to get one that fit my chest, I wouldn't be able to move my arms and the sleeves would stop above my watch.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Re: jacket size
I plan on getting a jacket here soon too. I was just gonna go to the stealership and try on different brands of jacket before I bought one online.
