Managed to get a near mint original shock from Germany for £50...happy days

A few pics of latest build activity...shock fitted, yokes and head bearings fitted and clocks stripped, cleaned and led back lights fitted. Forks back from powder coaters this saturday..

Cheers...getting there slowly but surely.
Making some of my own bits too. Bodywork didn't have grommets or top hat washers to fix to frame...decided to make my own washers, another 4 to go:)

Forks and clip ons were ready a day early..not the best pics but a real quality finish on all parts...

That coating looks a good match to what was discussed earlier Schmo.

Folk do manage to lose the Top hat bushes and destroy the rubber grommets too.
You have a good solution.

The correct fixing screws are the expensive item...I used to just scan auction sites and snap up job lots if cheap when they
were advertised. I also used to ask breakers if they had any lying about from a stripdown if buying other parts. I regularly got a handful cheap that way. If the chrome is a bit scruffy they can be polished up and clear coated.

Plastic switches came up not too bad after a clean with WD40 then some bumper and trim gel..

Fairing brackets came back from powder coaters. .great finish in satin black...
Wheels will defo be next. Tyres are here but just waiting on discs arriving.

Cheers kolederacer....i am missing one part, the thin plastic panel that attaches to the inside of the LHD fairing panel...??

I think I have one, its black plastic and goes on the inside of the fairing to direct air?
