The blurred line between the FZR600 and the FZR600R (AKA Fox Eye Euro FZR, Fox Eye US YZF600R) always will confuse everyone. I think I have a post somewhere that explains all that melodrama. Anyway, the 89-98 FZR600 (Not Fox eye or Thundercat) should measure at 38mm (please correct if I'm wrong). A 37mm clamp will do that job just fine if torqued down proper like.mawler wrote:Well before this thread resurfaced, i'd been googling for a fork clamp, came up with 38mm pre 94, 41mm post 94. The only 38mm clamp i found, the site is screwed and you can't place an order.
Since sweekster said 37mmi googled "fzr 600 37mm" "fzr 600 38mm" "fzr 600 41mm" all came up with fork oil seal replacements
so ive ordered a Vernier Calliper Gauge, i'll measure the diameter (mines a 92) and let you know. Id rather have a tight fitting 37mm on a 38mm tube, than a loose fitting 38mm on a 37mm tube, that's if 38mm clamps are available.

Thanks for clearing that up, it is confusing.sweekster wrote:The blurred line between the FZR600 and the FZR600R (AKA Fox Eye Euro FZR, Fox Eye US YZF600R) always will confuse everyone.
