Fzr 600 rear rim swap?

Post by 1993fzr »

I just traded for a 1993 fzr 600 I'm an experinced rider and the fzr comes factory with a 110/70x17 on the front and 140/60x18 on the rear. I have searched for a rear tire in a sticky compound and I didnt find any that I like. So dose anyone know what bike that I could swap the rear rim that wouldnt be to labor intinsive?

I can sell you a modded YZF 600 to slip right in. I have a chain and offset sprocket to go with it too. You would have to source the wheel and such. I think I have the axle and maybe the adjusters. It will have new bearings. Let me know if you are interested. Keep in mind everything is new and bolt in so it's not going to be $100.

This is your best bet if you want to find decent rubber. This is a conversion to a 17" rear wheel. Do it and your rear tire choices open up tremedously.
