rear brake lights staying on
hi I m after some help I've got a87 import fzr750 that I've been doing up over winter. every thing was working fine before I took her off the road. problem is brake lights are staying on and the ignition connector is over heating .I disconnected the front and rear brake switches and they still stayed on. I have changed the front light bulbs for brighter ones was thinking that might have caused it or a faulty ignition barrel any ideas people as electrics most defiantly aren't my thing many thanks john
Re: rear brake lights staying on
If you unplug both switches and the brake lights stay on, you have a short in the wiring.

Re: rear brake lights staying on
thanks for the advice . turns out main problem was id bent the rear brake spring post when I changed the rear shock a few weeks ago which was causing the light to stay on . swapped the front bulbs back to standard and cleaned all connections .all lights working as they should
