Easiest 17" wheel swap?

Post by KUISKUIS »

Hi guys, just building my FZR 600 -93 project and 17" inch wheel is a must for me. In our country the 18" wheels are more expensive than normal 17" and they are hard to find. I have already changed 2nd gear and bearings on the engine.

So, i can found one page long information about wheels and swing arms, but i still dont know what is really the easiest way? And of course for cheap as possible. Im machinist so milling so on isnt a problem. I heard that Honda CBR 600F2 (PC25) wheel is pretty easy to put on. Is it true?

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english! :duh:

Easiest and cheapest in Europe is to get a 17X4.5 wheel from a FZR400 3TJ.

YZF 600R swingarm and rear wheel swap is probably the most readily available at least state side. The old Gixxer and 3TJ wheels are becoming harder and harder to find. I think the Bandit rear wheels was about a direct swap as well and I think that model was native to Europe for I don't often see them around here much. Hit up thatkid (Nate) and see what he has available or just to bend his ear about swap options.
