Chain and sprocket once again for a newbie

Post by FZRman101 »

Hey guys im new to this forum and iv read so much !

My question is my chain and sprocket have seen better days , im wondering what would be best, 520 conversion with the quick acceleration, barring in mind I use the motorway 50% of my rides or would the normal stock ratio be best in the 520 or 530 ?

Also some good chains and sprockets :)

the 520 Chain is lighter than the 530. Which make it easier for acceleration to be quicker. I asked the same question a few weeks ago and thatkid told me the best sprocket to use would be a 15 front and that 50 for rear for chain life. He sales a kit that comes with a 15 front sprocket and a 50 sprocket for 180. Or you can go on eBay and look for sprockets and a chain. I believe the chain you will need is a 106 link chain. The sprockets I was looking for I could only find a 14 front and a 49 rear. I don't know what a big difference it makes but you could try it.
