Where do I find a powerpak?
I know they pop up on ebay from time to time. I believe they stopped making them in 96. Any one have one or know where one would be?

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
why? it's 20 year old tech, and al it does is alter the timing curve.
Def not worth what people are getting for them, imho.

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
ya alright. was liking the plug and play idea instead of a timing advance key.

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
I think they work better than a timing advance key because you can also alter your redline and other variables. If you can find one, get it. If you can't find one and really want one, you can get one of these:

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
So, is that like a generic version of the powerpak? Do you have one or know someone who does? do they work and worth the money?

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
It is a generic version of the powerpak so it won't be as user friendly. However, I've heard people speak of them and from what I can remember from the conversations, they work.
Are they worth it? That's an answer only you can provide. Try to download the manual / instructions and see if it seems easy enough. I'd go for it if I didn't already have a powerpak.
Even with a powerpak, you are not going to be all like "holy smokes this bike came alive like a 750". The results will be more subtle, yet noticeable. Unless you are taking your bike to the track, I don't see how it would be worth it.

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
The ignitech is everything a powerpack is and more.
Modern functionality....pinpoint adj. of timing and rev limit(by 100 rpm increments I believe)..unlike the powerpack which has dipswitches and preprogrammed settings.
The ignitech will allow you to have capability for ign kill for clutchless shifting, and launch limiting for drag launches. It can also be tied to nitrous arming switches to retard ign while on the bottle.
You can also tie in a throttle position sensor if you want so that timing is TPS AND rev dependent.
And you can record data.

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
I did so looking at this also but I can't find an american price for it. plus on the manual it only has the instructions for fzr400 and fzr1000 no fzr600 so how would that work.

on the left hand side of the page is "price list"
click on it, then at the bottom it says USD prices.
Click on the PDF download, open it, and have a heart attack after you read the price!

Yes, OH MY GOD! $153 US dollars (SPARKER TCIP4 (full version)) for an ignition box! That's OUTRAGEOUS (insert sarcasm)\goosefartfan wrote:on the left hand side of the page is "price list"

last time I saw an FZR powerpack listed on ebay, it sold for $260. Mind you, that is used, maybe works, potentially 23 years old.

Re: Where do I find a powerpak?
Are we sure that the SPARKER TCIP4 (full version) is the correct one for the fzr 600? If so, who found it and where listed for our bikes? Would like to try it out, and at $153 its sounding pretty good just want to see it for myself that it is listed for the FZR 600. I sent off an email to the company to ask, waiting for a reply.
