Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I passed up an R6 for my 93 FZR cuz I can build a fence with all the R6s in the classifieds. I only found TWO FZRs. I love my FZR's round lites, looks like a pouncing cat and the sides look like they belong on a F-14. ">DANGER JET INTAKE"
Is my 93 supposed to have round lights????

Yep. 89-90 and 93-99 had twin round lights and 91-92 had the single headlight. Not sure why thee went back. The Usual Suspect wrote:Is my 93 supposed to have round lights????
As far as the fairings I like em. i like both styles of the headlights too. But think they look better with a 94-96 YZF rear tail.

Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
most peoples biggest complaint is the big tail , but if you get the solo seat cover they look ALOT better , and even more so if you have the late 90's number plate design on the sides of the tail , like in my design for when my bike gets ugly enough that i need to re-paint .

Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I originally wanted one of the new pointy bikes, but since I got the FZR (at a steal of a deal, no less) the dual front lights grew on me, and now I wouldn't trade them for the single headlight fairing any day of the week. The tail looks pretty ugly in stock form, but when you add a competition werkes fender eliminator/tag bracket and clear alternatives integrated LED taillight (doing the tail light recess trick), along with a solo cowl, it suddenly has the old school race bike look to it. I also added the Flander's flush mounts in the front, and it just made it look even better, IMO.

Exhaust: Stock header - Yoshimura RS-3 Carbon fiber slip-on

Brakes:Stock rotors with EBC HH Sinstered pads

Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I don't really mind the stock tail however it does date the bike. The rest of the plasics are great, I enjoy being able to actually get behind the fairing and have some protection without having to make out with the gas tank like some of the newer bikes....And It isn't the same old daily grind like all the other bikes
Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I like the side fairings, but think the upper and tail are very dated

Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I really like the newer FZR400 fairings
But as things go I do like the fzr600 fairings althorugh I like the single headlight models a little bit betterer

Re: Do you like the fzr fairings
I like the single headlamp ones. They look cleaner, tidyier, less dated, and better finished with the infill panels etc.
That said, if it's an old bike and now has only the top fairing, or is naked, I prefer the twin lamp set up.
