Blue dot calipers
So yesterday morning I was headed down my driveway went use my backs and wouldn't ya know I have no pressure. My dog chewed through my brake line. Awesome. What a way to start the work day. So I ordered a complete blue dot setup from eBay today for $80 shipped. Not a bad deal. They're a bolt on upgrade right?
Re: Blue dot calipers
I also have yzf cylinder and pistons coming too.
I found a place where I live that will bore my rod ends for $120 give or take depending on how long it takes once they set up.

Re: Blue dot calipers
The blue dots should bolt right up - yes. Adding stainless steel brake lines will yield the absolute best results.

Yeah. Ss lines is on the list. I need gaskets for my 660 build and new fork springs unless I can get a yzf front end cheap enough.
Re: Blue dot calipers
Is your Dog alright? Brake fluid is poisonous stuff, like anti-freeze I think.
Strange that your Dog would chew through your brake line. Usually they go for your hand-grips or the seat. You know... The parts that have your scent or sweat on them. You been eating chili dogs while sitting on your bike & drip some on the brake line?
The SS braided lines are the best, for improved brake feel. Once you try a set you won't want to ever settle for anything less again. I have a set on my pick-up truck & it made for a huge improvement.
Good luck

Sounds like a rottweiler I used to own. He was a complete meat-head for the first 2-3 years, then he became a good dog. He would chew on anything & dig holes everywhere.JeCarter wrote:yeah shes fine.. shes chewed 2 sets of turn signals, my buddy's bike.. my tools.. lots of stuffI cant take it. buy her toys bones everything to get her to stop chewing but nothing works.. anyone want a dog?

PS. Check with "ThatKid" above on the SS lines. He sells nice stuff at a good price & he's fast on the shipping too.

Re: Blue dot calipers
The Blue Dots Calipers are a directly bolt-on. It gives a much nicer look, and a better stoppene power. If you are willing to use a bit extra money, the '99-'02 brake cylinder firs aswell and is much more powerfull han the standart mastercylinder. You will be needing to make a few changes to the resorvoir holder since it does not sit under the fairing, bit it's a easy modificarion.
By the way, you Will also be needing new brakepads since the FZR brakepads do not fit the Blue Dot Calipers.
