For a race bike. Anyone here tried this?
Fabrication and welding is my profession so no problems there. Going to order an Ohlins shock with ride height adjustment ( not the YA 828) and want to sort the back end out all at once and save moneys where I can. How much shorter than stock is best for a race bike? Or should I just leave it alone Id be lucky to find a 750 swingarm around here, and I like a mechanical challenge.
Cheers.

Re: Shortening the swingarm
I think I would try to research the various Swing-Arms that will swap into your Frame easily & try to determine which one is the shortest.
If you wanted to go shorter... I would look at trying to increase the length of the Chain Adjustment Slot towards the front of the Bike & buy a shorter Chain.
Good luck

Re: Shortening the swingarm
Don't bother with the swingarm. Use your shock ride height adjustment and fork protrusion to adjust your chassis geometry, and you should be fine.
