r6 front brakes and master cylinder
What all is needed to put r6 front brakes and master cylinder on my 1993 fzr. Can I use the same brake lines and lever, and will any year r6 calipers work, or is there any preferred year to use.
Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
Just what you mentioned in your title, on mine the lines were just a touch short.

Could I use the stock fzr lines
Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
I ordered stainless braided r6 lines. Cut to length.

Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
Ditch the stock lines... braided stainless is the only way to go for performance.

Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
You might be able to use the stock FZR lines but you'll have to twist them. The input on the FZR calipers is on the rear and on the R6 calipers it is on the side.
Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
You cannot use the FZR lever on the R6 master.
Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
thanks for your help guys. so with the front master cylinder from the r6 should bolt right to my handle bar?

Re: r6 front brakes and master cylinder
Not really..you would still have to fabricate or find a way to mount the brake fluid reservoir (the cup). Other than that it should fit.
