Transmission noise

Post by tclayton9 »

I just got my bike running and ive been test driving it. when the bike is in neutral it has a normal sound, but when I rev the engine while in neutral I hear a real faint rattle and it sounds like its coming from the gearbox. Its not loud, its just soft and you cant barely hear it and the bike shifts fine but sometimes it is a little loud when it shifts. When i haul ass on the bike it shifts perfect. I new to mechanicing on a bike. I just want to know is it normal.

How to know: FZR Archives: Got exup?. Just look at the underside of your bike.
What it is: Exup1000.co.uk: Exup operation.

If you have it, it may have started rattling.

How to maintain:
1) Cable maintenance: http://www.thunderace.host.sk/thunderac ... owto/exup/
2) Valve maintenance: http://fazer1000.yuku.com/topic/1524/EX ... WwKkSuSAao
1990 FZR 1000, 1993 engine, terrible state... but improving.
