i have always thought it was a 1WG, but i want to be sure cause shipping costs more than the fairings so, correct or not their mine

Hi,

You have a 1WG model (two part side fairings and no intake holes on the nose cone) so those are the correct panels for your bike. I have read elsewhere that people have tried these and they were generally happy with them. They're not as good as original panels but said to be decent enough for the price and reasonably well painted.

yes, i have heard pretty good things about these fairing kits
granted, they are not as good as factory but really, i have been looking for a OEM upper fairing (nos) for over a year now and i truly believe that there are Zero left availible in the whole world
appriciate your input and i will definitly throw an opinion about this product when i recieve, also i am going to have to start building the motor for this money pit real soon so these fairings will not be installed for a bit still so i will be able to take specific pics of these things if anyone wants them

I am considering the kit as well as i cannot find a lower left fairing panel.

I have every other front fairing brand new in the wrapper, but cant get one of those.

Please let me know how the Chinese panels work out for you.

I heard that parts4bike offers the best quality, but i have seen that seller as well.

I've been looking about for reviews and they range from 's**t' to 'good for what you pay for them'. UK wise they come in at about £280. Fit seems to be the main issue, they need some jiggling to get them to sit right but nothing awful just more time consuming to get it right. Mounting holes don't come drilled and have none of the rubber grommets/fixings and there is no heat reflective sheeting so that will add a bit to the cost.

Paint quality seems fair to good but the plastic is stiffer and probably more brittle than oem stuff so care is needed when fitting them or over flexing could crack the paint finish. Most people highly recommend fitting the reflective sheeting inside the fairings near to the exhaust and headers or they will warp from the heat. Having said that one bloke took a heat gun to it and re-shaped it and after fixing the heat reflector it stayed good.

They are not going to be perfect for this price but compared to the cost of sourcing decent oem panels/doing repairs/finding decals/then a paint paint job this seems a good otion.

i dont care about front turn signals(i like to have the flashing lites in the back for the cagers) signals are not required here in CO
so i asked about having the front signal cutouts filled- no extra charge
$455 shipped
so far so good

The 3EN series repo panels must be new additions to their range,they weren't there a few months ago.
Considering price of prep work/paint/decals ;the price is very good and most dont have a complete set to start with so even better.Esp as many have trashed nosecones./hens teeth.

I like doing panel work;it transforms the bike,I do not like the time/mess it takes or the price!

Cameron had a problem with Customs in the Uk with them re. Copyright or some other nonsense and no doubt Import Duty,on the Greybike forum.I have just asked him for an update.

Whatcha got in the background there? That GSXR looks nice. BTW that 400 does not have stock brake rotors. Don't know if you know or care but just pointing it out so you know more about your bike.

I bought those fairings and the fitment is terrible. Some of the fairings came damaged and they said they would replace them but they didn't. They just kept stalling until it was too late for me to give them bad feedback. The tail and fender are very brittle fiberglass. The tail has only 2 mounting points that barely hold it in place. The upper doesn't fit without grinding off quite a bit and is warped. The mid fairings don't line up with the upper. The bottom, I never tried but they are probably junk too. The paint is not very good either and they clear coat over the stickers so you cant remove them. They even have inappropriate ones like YPVS which is for 2Strokes like the RZ350 and RZ500, and not the FZR.

DO NOT GET THESE CHINESE PIECES OF CRAP!!! It's a complete waste of money. You are much better off hunting individual fairings piece by piece than throwing away $500 on this.

I bought it from partsforbike, but it's the same product from other sellers as well.

This is all that fastens the tail. I had to put a rubber grommet to fill the hole just to put a bolt through. I also had to grind away at the tail light slot for quite a bit just to get it to sit properly. It also weighs 3x as much as the factory part.



The curvature of the plastic is different and the mid fairing doesn't fit the upper.



I had to grind of .25 inches or so just for the headlight to fit, then i had to carefully heat and bend the studs to make it go through the headlight.



Here is as far as I got Once the upper is on you can't fit the mid fairings. Don't assume that my brackets were bent because my OEM fairings fit like a glove



Here is a picture of someone else's bike with these. Notice how terrible the stripe lines up from the lower fairing to the tail. It looks like its off at least 3 inches.

These are only the fitment problems. I didn't even try the fender since it was also 3x heavier than stock and also quite ugly. The tail had a chip in 2 places , the fender was chipped, one of the lowers had a chip in the paint. There are other problems that i'm probably forgetting about since this was from back in September. The picture of someone elses bike was taken from ebay. He was probably disappointed by this so much that it forced him to sell his bike. He took pics from far away. That is the only chance these things have of looking good, when you are looking at them from 10 yards away.
