Difference between 92 and 93 headers?

Post by JeCarter »

I was wondering if there is supposed to be a difference between the years for the headers? My 93 sticks out a lot further than my 92. 93 has yoshi slip on and I haven't seen anything to that says the headers aren't stock.

well today i took the yoshi slipon off and tried fitting it to my other headers but doesnt line up. I have a V&H slip on my 92. the headers on my 92 have a larger diameter and yoshi wont slip on. just wanted to hear it see which i liked better so it looks like ill be keeping the V&H set up.. the larger diameter headers should be less restrictive anyway right? and i took some pics but havent figured out how to post them in a reply yet.

You need to select an image hosting site from the internet and register with them.I use photobucket,it is free and relatively easy to use.
Upload the pics you wish to use to your account at the hosting site, this takes a little time.
Once uploaded, select the pic you wish to use in your forum post.
The pic should have various boxes that relate to it showing image information.
You need to copy the image link.

When you post a reply or start a topic, at the top is a selection of boxes; choose image and insert the copied link where the cursor flashes, exactly between the two sets of image brackets that appear.

Same goes for including direct links to other sites;use the URL option.

Please note;If you remove or relocate the pics from your hosting account at a later date, they will also be deleted from your forum posts.
This is why so many older posts have "photo deleted or no longer available" greyed out boxes in the text, often rendering the topic useless.

There may be a proper tutorial on here of how to do this with a little more detail.
Sent from my keyboard using the English language not some teen text shite from a fooking phone.

It worked. Now take better pics. I think one of your headers is probably aftermarket.

The headers on the ground look like the stock headers. I am basing this on the appearance of the clamp.

Also, is that a cartridge oil filter or a spin on?

Spin on. The ones on the ground came with a yoshi slip on but it has the same o.d. As the headers on the bike. So I'm not sure what kind of headers those are. Any ideas?
