Fairings won't line up

Post by JeCarter »

So I got a full set of fairing off my 93 parts bike. And everything is on and looks good except my lowers won't line up. And it's not even close. What could I be doing wrong? banghead

You are probably not doing anything wrong. This is somewhat typical. What brand of fairings did you get?

Are they plastic or fiberglass? If they are plastic they are OEM and should fit perfectly. I guess they were not attached to the bike when you got it. Post a pic of the fairings, they may not be for and FZR600.

Well they look like the correct fairings. Where don't they line up? At the bottom? Are you using the correct mounting holes? How about another pic showing the problem.

the fairing mounts on the bike tend to move and get bent

sometimes they will be missing completely

check to make sure there isn't a missing metal tab where you are trying to attach them

Great. It's not unusual for brackets to get bent, broken, go missing, or become misaligned in some fashio.
