getting ready to build the motor, poking around at gasket kits and it is looking like maybe something changed in 1992?
the serial # on the cases i'm using is:
3HH-039275
any info on internals that do not interchange would be very helpful
also, is one brand of gasket better than the others, i have used Vesra kits before and had no issues

The oil filter changed from internal to spin-on in 91 or 92. Beyond that, I think the engine was unchanged from 89-99.

There's the confusion because every manual you look up reference 89-92. The motors from 90-98 (spin on oil filter) for US models (with the slight exception of the EXUP Cali ones) are the same.
