Wonder what part no. the duct tape is.....? :headscratch:

Pull off the carbys and the inlet manifolds and look very very closely at what condition they are in.

Heres the 3EN2 parts diagram.....

And heres a 600 parts diagram....

If u have rubber inlet manifolds then they will surely be cracked and crazed from heat and time......and the only way to tell is by pulling them off and manipulating them to see if they have cracked right thru.....mine were in bad shape but none had split thru to the inside.

There has to be rubber there either way ...and having duct tape anywhere would be ringing alarm bells to me.

By pulling them off u can check for cracks ,leaks or wateva .... the carbs or the rubber joiners may not be seated correctly or the clamps may be loose or shot.

If u own an FZR get used to carby removal :Kick

Be careful not to drop anything down the holes including your false teeth.

The 3en doesn't have metal inlets they are one piece rubber. well rubber outside either way they should be black all over and one piece.

Buy these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FZR-40 ... 3cce215c50 be quick you might not get another chance.

::Jedi on:: These are the 3en inlets you are looking for ::Jedi off::
