oil filter, 89 1000

Post by coops »

Hi, wanting too use a good quality filter and read up a bit on the subject. Purolator sounds good. cross reference says ML16806, but pics show it being a screw on type and mine is cartridge type. So im a bit stumped. Do i need a addapter?
Id like the best filter possible, how do i do that?
Cheers, Coops.

its the RU model that had the screw on type. The 89-90 has the paper element filter that goes into the bolted housing. For peace of mind i'd use OEM for the sake of a quid
If its not broken it dont need fixing

Thanks for the reply. I spent a few hours clicking around and apparently they are all very average at filtering including OEM filters. there are only a couple that stand out and these are only avalable for the screw on type i beleive. And fram filters are below average, according too what i read.
No worries, Coops.
