I kept reading somewhere about Carb intake restritions and cutting away the rubber bit.
Well ive cot my carbs off and i cant see anywhere that has been sliced. Could someone clarify this subject for me please.
Seems too me, the most restrictive part of the intake system is the top plastic (snorkel) piece or the rubber piece the sits directly on top of the air filter. Is this what people are refering too?
Im not going too do any mods just yet. Im just trying too gather info so maybe for next year i might do stage 1 engine mods.
Cheers Coops.

Re: Intake restriction? 89 EXUP
carb intake restrictors (on most bikes) go somewhere between the bottom of the carbs and the engine intake rubbers.
on the zxr they are washers that are placed just underneath the carb inlet rubbers.
the snorkels job is (i think) to smooth out the airflow entering the airbox so that its all laminar...could be wrong though, and yes it does seem particularly restrictive, my zxr 400 one must be twice the size...
