Re: for fork sake! help please 3en2
The 91 owners manual says 433cm(15.2 imp oz or 14.6 us oz) or as a rule of thumb 106mm from top on inner tube while fork is fully compressed without the spring. Hope that helps. And I don't know how much different from the 91 to the 89 but I bet not much.

3EN2 Have 41mm dia forks so previous amount incorrect.
530 cc 10 wt = Factory recommended.
IIRC=without springs and compressed = 90mm air gap.
3EN series quite rare in USA but common apparently in UK
Correction; It is 525 cc.
Just double checked this it is 523cc to be 100 % accurate.

Ok goo to know. I wasn't sure. The book I got it from didn't specify the frame code. Thanks will.willandrip wrote:3EN2 Have 41mm dia forks so previous amount incorrect.

If you have a look on the web there's a manual from the USA ... you want the SAC model for the 3en2. Get the mechanic to ride the bike before you do. The springs and damping are thought to be soft as standard that and the age of the bike leave a bit of margin for variation from the standard settings.
