Famous Motorcycle Roads

Post by kilika2 »

I'm writing a paper for one of my college classes about places to go on your motorcyle. After a safety check of course. And I was wanting to get some suggestions on famous roads in the US. I have tail of the dragon already. I know there is one in cali called 29 palms or 27 palms. I just need enough to google them. Thanks.

Chris.

Mulholland Highway here in L.A. The Rock Store is a huge favorite for bikers:

Angeles Crest Highway is another fav for the L.A. area riders.

Lesser known but a damn fun ride (until you crash anyways :whistle) is Topanga Canyon:

Here's a little list that actually covers a couple of the above-mentioned:

You know I'm gonna advocate for M-119:

For a while it was on the AMA's 'top ten to ride' list-don't know if still.

There's also about half my vids taken there:

@reel Excellent I was hoping you would post to this rr. Is it ok if I show like 15 seconds of one of your videos? I'll throw props to you because I have to have a works cited page.

@Griz. Thanks for the info Ill add that to the Calif page.

@Will. I was going to text you. Is it ok if I use some of the videos and pics from our ride?

Chris,

Don't forget about the Great River Road in Missouri/Illinois (http://www.riverfronttimes.com/bestof/2 ... ide-30739/)

Also, another popular riding area is Hwy 94 - gets really fun from Treloar to McKittrick. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwe82nzBv2E )

The cool thing is that you can ride both since you are close enough....
