Brown & Mike,

Gorgeous 1Ks!

Brown,

I still have all of the magazines from when your bike came out. Awesome bike and the king of the liter hill in it's day. :headbang:

Yeah, I love it! I wanted a current liter bike but I just don't 'fit' that bike. I'm not fat and only 6' tall. But I just don't fit the current bikes. To me the FZR 1000 is almost a timeless bike. :)

Some guys dont fit some bikes and visa versa - I go with you on this one - I've tried many and just seem to be paired with my FZR, like a glove. Maybe it's a case of "old habits don't die"
Mine booked in yesterday for major service, with one of our local racing mechanics - he too, Danie Maritz, raced them back in the day - cant wait to get her back!

Got my bike back yesteray after major service with Danie Maritz Racing, with the following done;

Smoked Screen Fitted
4 x Emulsion Tubes
4 x Intake Rubbers (carb to airbox)
4 x Spark Plugs
Putoline DX4
Oil Filter
Front Sprocket
Rear Sprocket
Chain - EK530
Clutch Cover Gasket
Clutch Slave Cylinder Kit
Metzler (front) 120/70-17
Clean & Lube K & N Air Filter

Attended to leak on slave cylinder - stripped, cleaned, replaced seal & bled. Attended to clutch slip - Remove clutch cover, stiffened springs and assembled, replaced gasket. Attended to squeak on rear suspension - removed rear linkage, stripped and cleaned, greased bearings & bushes and assembled.

She's now running like a dream, an absolute transformation, thanks to Danie Maritz and his team!

Now to attempt uploading some pics!

1994 FZR600R Molested and rigged by the PO... BUT, I got her cheap, and she runs pretty good so I can't really complain!

Yep, Petcock Switch - been having a lot of rain our way and didn't want to burn the tar with the new tyres just fitted, but seems like we may have a weekend of sunshine, in which case those new Metzlers will be working overtime!
