Bike overheating. Where to start?

Post by twack »

My bike has been overheating for the past couple of weeks. after i drive about 7 miles it starts touching red and at times will get very red. Usually when i stop at a light it will go down to the halfway mark then as soon as i get back on the gas it goes back up. I have the fan modded to be on all the time and it still does this. The bike performs normally through all this, no smoke out the exhaust. no oil in coolant or coolant in oil.

Im not really sure where to start the diagnosis. let me know what you guys think

It goes down when you stop at a light? I would say you either have too much coolant or a blockage in the line increasing pressure when you rev it.
