Who Raced It?

Post by highsign »

I'm new here and just picked-up my first 1987 fzr 750. I don,t know much about this year bike but it resembles my 96 yzf 750r so I had to have it. The bike is safety wired and has an ama track inspection sticker and a championship cup series sticker around the left front turn signal on the fairing. There's a shadow of a number on the r/s tail of 427 and the frame# is JYA2NK00XHA000109 and eng.# 2NK-000109. Thought it might of been raced but it has all the street lights and side stand. I'm stumped. Any info for a not so bright rider?

Hi,
I believe that all AMA numbers is the clue as numbers and names tend to move together for the year. Check out the AMA them selves.

Thanks, not sure if more than one person raced it and changed numbers but I didn't understand why it would have been raced with all the street stuff on it unless someone just put the lts & stand back on it to tag for street.
