help with clutch stack height
ii am putting together my clutch and there is play between the fibers and steels when everything is put together so i am trying to find out what the stack height on an 88 fzr1000 would be

sounds like you have just put the steels in without checking which way round they are.
let me explain these steels are machine punched out so that there is always a slight lip on the edges . If all the lips face the same way they "nest" and there is no play put a lip facing a lip and there will be a gap very slight but multiply that by say 3-4 wrongly faced and that is quite a bit of slack.

Also ensure the match marks on the frictions and pressure plate align with the match mark on the hub.
