Why risk the chance of major damage to your entire electrical system by keeping it? Swap it out with the much better designed VR.

Looks like one of the WHITE wires that comes from the stator.dayalalito wrote:Do you know what the terminal controls, im going to change it as the bike doesnt want to start anyways so why not upgarde

Re: VOLTAGE REGULATOR FRIED ?

Ah you have the cheap copy with the cooling fins That version causes more problems than the OEM version ever has or will!!! (over charging). Darrin is spot on tho the Burnt Terminal connects to one of the White wires from the stator.dayalalito wrote:thanks for the info, looking at my VR its diffrent from yours, but im sure internally its the same , mine has vents on top (looks like a radiator)

Time to inspect what if any damage that POS has done to your electrical components, best place to start is here http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=no_spark_now_whatdayalalito wrote:Do you know what the terminal controls, im going to change it as the bike doesnt want to start anyways so why not upgarde
FYI that POS VR (the finned cheap copy) is well known to take out the TCI, Tacho, Fuel pump, and more. I hope your more fortunate.
Good luck.
Most things can be fixed "stupid" is unfortunately beyond repair
