Re: 91 fzr 1000 stalls at 6000rpm
hi,
First off i do not own a1K FZR but I seem to remember reading some place that if the fuel is low then the rev limiter kicks in and conserves fuel.
Apart from that clean & synch the carbs there are How-to's in the WIKI and a How to make your own Synch tool & use it

I did some reading and on-line interviewing of 1k riders to learn the 1k's pump controls as part of the design process of the ignition I'm trying to work on. When the fuel sensor declares 'low fuel', the black box simply turns off the pump and your carbs run out of fuel. Hitting the 'Reserve' switch turns the pump back on.
Another quirk of the 1k is that if the EXUP servo is not plugged in (or fails the start-up check), it rev-limits at 4k.
What I think has happened here is that your servo is working, but that the cables have snapped or were removed by the PO, and the valve itself is stuck in the low-rev position. This will prevent the engine from revving out. See this site for excellent EXUP maintenance instructions - http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/exupmaintenance.html
Another option is that the main jets are very wrong - or missing!
