front signals 92 FZR600

Post by dayalalito »

Hello My FZR friends,
I had to rewire my bike I have everything hooked up the only
Issue I'm having is the front signals, I'm reinstalling the LED signal.
I know there's 3 wires to each side on the harness question is there's a (RIGHT SIDE) has
BLUE,GREEN,BLACK, (LEFT SIDE) CHOCOLATE,BLUE,BLA
    CK
The LEDs have only 2 wires do I hook up the L E D TO THE COLORED wires or do i leave the
Black wire off ? they original way it has parking lights and signals with the L eD. I think I have
To eliminate the parking :headscratch: and use only the signals what you guys think
    thanks Dayalalito

    Cross-post from the Archives:
Dayalito - Ch.Brown on the left, Green on the right; black for the grounds. The blue wires are for the running lights and can be safely ignored. Tape them securely, though - allowing the blue running light wires to short out will pop the Main fuse, and leave you stranded in the middle of WBF!

Yes that is what I did. I left the running light off until I built a new light for running only.

Lamer - unacceptable. If I gave you the advice to mash the rear brake as hard as you could on a slippery surface, would you blindly accept it? The fellow is trying to learn and understand.

Dayalito - your statement is unclear, and fraught with danger. If you mean to connect the blue to the Chocolate on the left, and the green to the blue on the right, this may work, or it may blow things up. I wouldn't bother. If you mean to join the blue, chocolate, green and black wires together, then as racerd says - you'll definitely let the smoke out of things.

Wait - what?! I thought the purpose of the exercise was to connect the SIGNAL lamps, not the parking lights!

NO and I dont think and hope seriously hope! that Dayalito would then realise the advice given was not only pathetic YET highly dangerous! Fact is you gave him as mentioned "Straight forward simple advice" He's making his own decisions and well..... He should if he wants to learn STOP thinking and follow the advice given :grinnod:

You mean how precisely you explained it :headscratch: plus i called NO ONE STUPID

All that would happen would be parking lights front and rear. read the wiring diagram!

Well here goes with diodes and resistors Dayalito could have both Front Parking lights and blinkers with his new LED Front turn signals, i thought if i attempted to explain that i may have confused him even more. Don gave straight forward accurate advice. Since your so Smart please explain to Dayalito how he can have BOTH Front parking lamps and Blinkers please, Otherwise well.. Keep up the advice that "some thing some were will let the smoke out and things wont work right"

Im certain that will be an easy task for any Certified Technician.
