sorry for the plug but theres a how to over on Exup1000.co.uk which shows you haw to make your own cables ...its easy to do too and very cheap compared to the £35 for the OEM items

Can you point out a link? I spent a good half-hour rummaging around, with lots of distractions (sigh) :whistle

badger - the cables go from the pulley on the header up to the servomotor, behind the left tail panel near the front of the seat.

Stig - I rummaged through your tech talk directory - that's some interesting stuff there! If you don't have something comparable in the works, you might want to include a link to (IMO) the best EXUP maintenance site out there; http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/exupmaintenance.html

The RU model has upside down forks as standard and an extra section of casting as part of the main frame where the seat attaches

Image

The earlier R model 89-90 has the twin round headlights and right way upforks....but some folk add the extra USD forks an upgrade but the frame has less casting at the seat mount

Don, I was going to add that link for servicing the exup valve but not had time to complete things. Its all a task for the dark cold nights over winter. :tks:
