old_school wrote:Genisis, do you have a build thread going? I'm wanta see pics! So I was thinking about doing a winter fzr build and sell it in the spring. Just because I'm familiar with the FZR and could knock one out fairly easily. Unless I find a great bike, really cheap I'm gonna try something new.

Rebuilding / Street fightering a 91 600. It came to me in pretty rough shape, and sans running motor (more details on that when I post my build). I've got it all stripped down and cutting the frame for a R6 tail swap and YZF tank swap as we speak. And then the frame goes off to get powder-coated. It's also getting a YZF front end. Hoping to have it all said and done by the spring.

Munzo! Now that's what I'm talkin about! We need a good 20 page build thread :) my far looked great from 10ft, I always wanted to do a complete tear down and redo my frame that looked like crap. I just could take apart a perfectly running bike for fear I wouldnt put it back together

Genisis- nice build! Can't wait to see the finished product! A 10 page build- badass! Gives me even more inspiration to start a build.

Well, I still need to finish up Panda. I have a fighter in the shop I can't get to run on all 4 no matter what I try. I have another build still looking for a name. Currently referring to is as "teh sex." Heh. My bike needs to have a few parts swapped around on it so I can sell it come spring. And then I still have my plans for my personal, full blown build. I'm hoping to at least make a little headway on her. I've been collecting parts for the last year. We shall see if I get enough time and help in the shop to do any damage.

Then there is all the work that comes into the shop on top of the full-time job to keep insurance. With the shop starting to take off more we'll see if I'm even coherent after winter or if I'm just a mumbling madman who hasn't slept in 5 months!

I've been taking pictures the whole time. I'll start a thread up here soon. I wanted to make sure I would get far enough on it. Didn't want to post a build thread and not get any farther than tearing it down. I've been known to get distracted and forget about projects :whistle

What plans are these? Don't see many Bauer E30's in good shape these days anyway. Going 24v on it?

Closing in on a 1965 triumph tiger t100 hard tailed frame ( welded) she's a barely a roller. It's got the look I'm lookin for just don't want to pay 3k for a box of parts and wheels :). Hopefully I can cut a deal.
