Wanted: Scorpion link pipe for 3HE

Post by SouthendChris »

Hello

I am after a Scorpion exhaust link pipe for my 1993 FZR600 3HE. The bike is I think a german import (german writing on the VIN plate?).

I purchased the bike a short while ago with no headers but a scorpion muffler and link pipe. I sourced a set of, what were sold to me as, 3HE headers and cleaned them up resprayed them & fitted them today.

When I offer up the end can & link pipe it look like it is way too far from the footrest/hanger bracket.

Are their different versions of 3HE headers??

My link pipe is marked CP113 so not after this one. Very unhelpfully Scorpion have no online catalogue to check :tks:

Hi,
Y-Geo. had the same problem when he made his end can. What he did was find a company (his was in Bracknal) That could bend the mid pipe to the correct angle on their tube bending machine (they did race car exhausts )
If you want details of the company PM me or Y-Geo.

Well I sourced a standard pipe for the moment as the bike has it's yearly MOT due this weekend and I think, cough, that the scorpion *may* not be road legal. Apparently the Scorpion part number for the correct link pipe is CP52 soI have fired off an email to see if one is available.

Thanks for your input people

does the can have 'not for road use' or 'competition use only' on it? if it does it's got no chance of a pass, if it doesnt then it'll be at the discretion of the tester. mines half deaf so ive never had a problem!

No it doesn't have 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' stamped on it. Just the scorpion logo on the back and the sticker you can see on the side. A very helpfull chap at Scorpion called Martin Lomas helped me out and I now have the correct CP52 link pipe needed for the 3HE :headbang:

I am running it with the standard endcan at the moment while I run a load of redex through it. It passed the MOT okay on saturday and I took it for a looooooooong shake down ride on the way (30 miles lol). Pulls like a train. Feels like a new bike! I can't use the bike because the logbook hasn't come through, soon as it does I can tax it. Then I shall put some proper miles on it
