Hello all.
I seem to have burst the second engine ive put in to my fzr600 1993 genisis (californian model). First engine (the original) did not have an oil cooler. The replacement i got did have and fitted fine. As things go, this has now pushed a piston rod through the front of the case so im after a replacement.
I have located an 8hh engine and am wondering if it will fit. i.e. does it have the two bars down each side for holding engine?
Bascially would the engine mounts match? If so, the rest should be no bother.
Thanks for any advice.

I notice that you're in Ireland - When you say 8HH, I think you actually mean 3HH. If so, this is the NON-California FZR600 motor (i.e. non-EXUP).
The short of it is that if you have a 3HH motor, it will definitley fit into your '93 with no problems. After all, these are the same motors that went into the pre-Foxeye framed 600s. However, you say that it's a California model. I don't THINK the motors themselves are any different (there MAY be difference in cam specs - but don't know for sure). The differences really lie in the carbs and exhaust so that's something you would need to dig into.

Yes a 3HH will fit. We put one into my sons FZR600. The thing you will need to change is the water pump housing, It won't line up to the pipes coming from the radiator. A straight swap from your 3HE engine works. Hope this helps.
