Hi folks, sorry for the lack of intervention in this topic and thanks for Dan for doing the leg work.

George, I'll ring my supplier and see if they already have any codes for the 600.

I KNOW for sure that for the 750 there are several different variations but on the 600 the suppliers may be able to help as they're run in UK race series and am sure they must have provided plenty over time.

I'll get back to you Tuesday when they reopen after the weekend break (they attend race meets on Sundays so have Mondays off instead)

OK.. got a reply for the FZR600 3HE

The supplier states that the previous version he's provided are 580 YO. Obviously he's reliant on the fact that they were for the bike he was working on which was a UK model.


It'd be your chancing if you were to go with this serial number though as he cant confirm what yours are without seeing them

The set would be the same price as the EXUP1000 set if posted to UK address

Hi,

Anyone in the UK interested in a group buy for FZR 600 emulsion tubes/needles? I understand Stig was able to do this but was waiting for the numbers stamped on the tubes to ensure we get the correct type. I pulled a donor carb set apart today (from a FZR 600 1991 3HE - Mikuni Carburettor) to get the numbers needed.

Emulsion tube is 35mm long and stamped 580 with a lower marking saying Y-0

Needle is stamped 5CFZ4.

Here's a photo of the tube for confirmation (sorry, but I can't get a clear snap of the needle).



Is anyone already in contact with Stig or should I contact him via the forum if there is enough interest?

S...assuming the codes are for the standard set up which would make sense being as the supplier also stated the same codes....it looks like theres another group buy on.

I already have 2 orders confirmed from my own site so only need 2 more to get the discount

OK...spoke to THE MAN today

the good news...they currently have 2 sets of TOOBS for the 600 which i've asked him to save and are the same price as the EXUP 1000cc

BUT,,..the downside. The codes for the needles are Yam part numbers that he cant match without having them in his hand to compare like for like. The needles however are the parts that hardly wear so you'll probably get away with just the toobs....the 1000cc items are same wear wise

so folks, its up to you
