headlights

Post by cntryboy85 »

Looking to possibly change double headlights to a single or updated look. Does anyone know if there is a headlight avalible that will keep the stock linees. Never been a fan of the double light look but love the line of my fzr. If anyone has done this or know if any one that has done this?

search pattern used= "headlamp conversion"

I should add I kept the single I had but swapped out the headlamp shell with a GERMAN fzr shell which has "bug-eye" and a standard lamp inside it so I still get dual lights but the single look.

yeah i know that feeling it cost me doing that to my truck...lol. i spent 200 on stuff that i thought that i liked but when i put it on i hated it. but yeah i am going to be taking my time and planning this one because i will have to cut and do fiberglass work and molding and that also isnt cheap to do it right. but thank you for the advice.

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=8532 there's the single headlamp with dual bulbs right there

I think the single headlamp nose cone bolts right up to the fairings, but you need the single headlamp birdcage also, As already stated.

Good luck.

Yes, the single / double headlight (German market) will bolt to any single headlight front fairing (1000, 600, & 400). The only one it will not bolt to is the 250 fairing. But you do need the single headlight fairing stay. They are still available from Yamaha, or a few people have successfully modified the double headlight fairing stay.

As far as the fairings are concerned. You can get them from Yamaha but they are very expensive. Your best bet is eBay. You can find them occasionally but usually you will need to do some work to them. You will only need to change the front and the air tubes. The front will bolt to the side fairings of any year 600. Also, the wind screen is different but they are available new from Zero Gravity for about $80.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.
