Hi,
Grips should not be so hard or ridged as to give you sore hands , on the other side they should not be so soft that they get sticky and mess up your gloves if "accidently" get covered in oil/gas/ your fave bike cleaning solution.
look around your pals bikes look at theirs try the feel and settle for that just keep trying until you find something that is "you" and stick with that.
What ever you do do not use the foam style grips they hold all the liquids and turn into amess & screw your gloves stitching up !

Ive got the same grips and I love them. They are soft and grippy, but dont get tacky or sticky. Very comfortable. Make sure you get the right size though. When I ordered mine they were advertised for a FZR but were about 10mm short. It wasnt a big deal since I am using aftermarket clipons and just cut the throttle tube down myself.
