Merry Christmas to All!
Might get out the ATV in the snow... since the bike might not fair so well.

Re: Merry Christmas
Yes. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy HOLYdays. No ride for me today, I really want to go for a ride in the snow but the girlfriend doesn't like that idea. Oh well.

Re: Merry Christmas
Belated merry christmas. There is still quite a bit of snow on the sideroads in the part of Luton I live in so I think I will give riding the bike a miss.

Your girlfriend has the right idea, don't ride in the snow. She obviously cares for you very much. Thank her for mekilika2 wrote:Yes. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy HOLYdays. No ride for me today, I really want to go for a ride in the snow but the girlfriend doesn't like that idea. Oh well.
Chris.
Up North we've had snow for over a month and temperatures below -10 C, 3 times I've had to remove the cars radio/CD player, unplug it and re-enter the security code
All said wishing everyone all the best for the New Year.

Re: Merry Christmas
I should have specified too. I didn't mean the snow where it creates anything wet on the roads. I'm not even sure enough to make tight corners on the dry pavement. I just want to ride in the dusting snow to see it go by my helmet. I want the road to be dry as a bone. There is probably a different term for the type of snow I'm talking about.mawler wrote:Your girlfriend has the right idea, don't ride in the snow
Yeah I couldn't ride on anything slick at all. haha

??? Explain?? The weather you describe pretty much sums up our Nov-March and I have never had to remove decks....mawler wrote:Up North we've had snow for over a month and temperatures below -10 C, 3 times I've had to remove the cars radio/CD player, unplug it and re-enter the security code

Presumably the tiny battery that powers the memory in the unit when the car battery is off/you have it out of the car had its chemical action so slowed down as to fail on power provision. RR you have to understand in your part of the world they are awake to the fact it gets cold and has umpteen inches of snow.reelrazor wrote:??? Explain?? Here in the UK we have had govt office excuses as to why such and such did not work /not done as "the snow was the wrong type" " there were leaves on the line" in autumn? shock horror the whole west coast railway shut no less.
I would assume that manufacturers have different components in their kit (as does Yamaha) for a region and the UK being cheapskate market get cheapskate goods that are fine in most cases But.................
1 anecdote we had delivered to the West Indies a car called the Nissan Sunny, during the dry season it was a lovely little car but leaked like a sieve in rainy season. Nissan thought the area was very dry ................

Renault CD/Radio players (in the UK ) have a built in anti theft system aswell as the security code. It's possible to bypass the security code on some systems. Thieves put the stolen CD/Radio in the freezer, then connect it up Viola, the security code is bypassed.reelrazor wrote:??? Explain?? Below -10 degrees Centigrade, Renault players refuse to work. It's a pain in the butt, especially for peeps who don't have a clue & have to pay someone to do the job.
