Me, I am firmly in the Bah Humbug camp ! Christmas to me it is the most unpleasant time of the year dealing with people who are more in a hurry than you & behave badly. Too many party animals on the road, being more reckless than usual.

for the 2nd year running I have not bought Christmas cards but sent emails so that I saved a few trees, & quite a tidy sum on the cards themselves and the extortionate postage and sent the money to "Help the Heroes" military charity
instead.

Madam is definitely in the "overdone christmas thing" camp insisting on sending cards to people she has not seen or heard from in years. What a waste of effort if you / they cannot be bothered to contact during the year they are no one to know in my book.

Live your life like every day is Christmas is far more beneficial to everyone in your life & to you.

I just found out that Christmas is in a couple days... The kids better be thankful that they have a mother, otherwise they'd be unwrapping packages of Cheetos.

Lol, I'm in better shape after taking off today and shopping. I just put up the tree last night. Man, I'm just not together this year.

Yeah, well I got the lights on the house early this year when it was still warm out - end of November.

Today - I finally found the timers and turned them on.

I discovered a new ordinance this year. Turns out in the town I work you can't buy alcohol after 10 pm or before 10 am. This pretty well screws me for xmas gifts for the bosses since I worked till 10:30 every night and I start at 9 am tomorrow. So much for planning ahead. I'll have to sneak out on my lunch break and snag gifts.

I'm all sorted this year, tree, cards, lights, shopping, food, drink, e.t.c. I allow the other half to take care of that every year.

Lets all have a good one (and your family's) all the best for the New Year, Stay safe.

Christmas is delayed at our house for a week or so; the little one brought a present back from one of her outings with Grandmama - a case of the Klingon Death Flu! banghead :swear :puke: Every one of us, fever and hacking and aching.

We explained that we called Santa to come later, because we don't want HIM getting sick...

Sorry to hear that Don, break out the Brandy or a single malt for the adults and a tea spoon of either at night in milk for the kids help them break a fever & sleep.

That's probably the best explanation any Parent could tell their children. Your kids have a wonderful dad mam  Wishing you all a quick recovery, more so a great belated xmas for the little ones, bless.

Merry Christmas all! It was a successful/busy day. All the things that I worried over just didn't really make that big of a difference anyway. :). The kids were happy with stuff Santa brought. (all old enough to know that Santa worked hard to bring it) and I scored a new specialized rock hopper. (bike). All-in-all a good day.

Don hope you and the family are feeling better!
