It fit the frame nicely IIRC, but its been a few years, and it was only on there a brief time before I took it off since I kept hitting the tank. When I hear overhang, I think of misalignment of the edge of the tank and frame, which wasnt really an issue(bear in mind this was 4 years ago, trying to remember accurately). If it did overhang, it wasnt much. The problem was the top edge where the side meets the top. If you look on a 600 tank cover, you see the large oval recesses along the top edges of the tank, the 1000 tank does not have that recess, and is broader across the top of the tank. You should be fine if your steering stops are extended, but you are losing a fair amount of steering movement though. Nothing significant enough that it would ever come into play riding on the track or street, but it may be a nuisance later trying to move the thing or low speed maneuversblensen wrote:I like the looks of the 1k tank.
@mrfreeze5, did the front of the tank overhang the frame or did it expand up and out from the frame? (Think v-shape when looking from the front)
