R6 GAS TANK

Im looking for somebody who has put a 03-04-05-06 R6 gas tank on a 1WG fzr 400, hopefully you have some photos, and how hard it was ????????

Bwahahaha....

I have an 03-05 R6 tank on my biek right now just test fitting for my fuel injection conversion. It fits like crap. I'll post pictures of it later. I am trying to get my hands on an 06/07 Tank to see if that one will fit a little better.

ohhh no, that dont sound like its fitting well, or its a easy mod banghead .

Looks ok, does that tank take the side covers ? or is that later years ?, how hard was it, did you have cut, beat it in ?

Nope this is just me setting it on the frame as is. Didn't modify it whatsoever.

The later years have side covers. This tank has side covers glued to it already just for styling.

So do u like it better than the YZF tank ? is the R6 tank longer front to back ? did u move the front bracket ?

that doesnt look quite right. probably need to rais the rear a bit and make a filler panel down in front of the seat. the yzf tank fits well, better i would say. but it's been done. be creative, go a totally different direction!

Great link, now thats looks top notch job, i may get a 08 R6 tank for mine, seems to fit really well.
