gear problem?

hi,when i try to change from 2nd to 3rd and the revs are over 5-6k the bike will not go into 3rd any idea what it could be?

Soo-- the bike will shift fine into 3rd as long as the revs are lower?

From experience, i always start with cheap solutions when it comes to tranny probs.
In all cases i completely grease the external linkage, then go from there.

However, if the problem only exists at hi RPM's , then the prob is most likely internal.

While you're greasing lubing and adjusting the shift linkage, you might also take a moment to grease lube and adjust the clutch lever, cable, and actuator as well.
