The Australian Moto GP 2010
Sometimes you never know when it's gonna come up to you. I have a good friend back in Greece, and he's is a motorcycle journalist. In fact, he is the broadcaster of all moto gp races for Greece!!! His name is Dimitris Diatsidis. I asked him through facebook, if he's gonna come in Melbourne for the Australian moto gp this year. He replied that he couldn't as he had to stay and comment the race from the Greek studio, but he immidiately asked me, if i wanted for me and Sylv those special passes to have access to the paddocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, of course i said YES!!!!!!! I can't describe you how i felt this moment guys! I only had seen the moto gp races on tv. Once i've been live, in Turkey (Istambul), and this was on a regular sit. But this time.... oh boy this time i could be able to see everything so close!!!! Here's my trip!
We had to go to the Federation square (center of Melbourne) to take our bus. Buses departing from 6am to 7am. So, in order to catch up one of the first ones, we had to wake up at 4:30am. No probs to me, but Sylv.......
The drive to Phillip island was about....1,5 hours. Weather was bad though. Going there with your bike THAT day, wasn't the best thing to do!
Once arriving there, we had to go to the accreditation center at Gate 1A, to collect our passes
And there we are, in front of the Phillip island circuit. One of my life dreams, became reallity!!!
Due to i had to go out for a while, i got stamped!!!

Re: The Australian Moto GP 2010
So I would ask if you and Sylvia had fun but that would be a stupid question. Looks like you are adjusting well to Oz as well Cris. I have to yet to attend a Moto GP but it's on my list and seeing these pics makes me want to go even more. Feel free to narrate some more and post more pics.

Going further in the track, due the light rain, things getting worse
...but soon became better!!!!!
Way better!!! This Yamaha R1 was on a lottary. We bought some tickets, but guess what??? We ain't so lucky!!!
Just before the paddocks, they had a big motorcycle exhibition
I was really jelaous about this!!!
The motorcycle exhibition
Love this?
I was ready to steal them!!!
guys.... Lorenzos' M1
Thank God it was on that rotational stand, and i didn't had to go all the way around!!!
And just for curiosity, i took a pic of the engine (uncovering the Yamaha secrets)!!!
BMW S1000 full carbon
That young lady looked so cute...
...so i told her to turn around, so i can see her better
Do you remember the SRAD???? I loved this bike!!!!
And proudly... i introduce you Danys' bike!!!
Do not forget the details hey!!!
This is the bridge over the starting line. And led to the paddocks
After the bridge, we saw these old fellas there!!! I suppose there was a classics race took place early in the morning that day!
And i suppose some Australian race as well
Oh shit!!!! I'm in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just before the paddocks, one more check from these guys! They are from Iraq, and 2 years ago moved in Oz. Live in Melbourne, and worked for these 3 days at Phillip island moto gp
This is a place of the paddocks. If the weather was good, you could see riders and mechanics having coffe here. But....
We had access to the Media Center. Didn't stay there for long though, 'cause there was no reason to. No good view!
THAT bad the weather was. Too much mud
You never know who you are gonna meet at the toilets. Ramon was one of the engineers of HRC Honda!!! Very nice guy and he pleasantly accept to have a photo with me! (my God... at the toilets!!!!)
And later on..... this time... well... outside at the toilets. With Mick Doohan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I approach him and asked him: "Hey Mick, may i have a photo with you?
He simply and with a great smile answered: "Yeh sure"
With this Ducati, if you were lucky enough to win in a lottary (so many lottaries hey?) you could had a ride as a co-passenger!!!
The paddocks
